Job summary

SP+ is hiring a Parking Attendant in San Diego, CA. Drive-in drive-out style parking assistance, guiding customers to spaces, counting vehicles, and enforcing garage policies. Roles require punctuality, neat appearance, and clear communication with customers and the Facility Manager.

Shifts may vary; strong basic math and reading/comprehension are needed. This position offers tip eligibility and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k options.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience or equivalent combination.
• License: Valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and clean driving record.
• Availability to work: Special shift requirements; may include 2nd/3rd shift and weekends.
• Language Skills: Read/understand simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, and handle money calculations.
• Appearance: Maintain neat appearance and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location during shift.
• Write and issue violation warnings for garage policy violations.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or by cart, if applicable.
• Assist customers who forgot where they parked their vehicle.
• Be on time and in uniform for every shift.
• Answer questions and direct customers to the Facility Manager if needed.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist in maintenance/repair of parking equipment and general tasks as directed.
• Report accidents, hazards or policy violations to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, spills, and other issues to the garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
• Maintain knowledge of all garage areas and major streets/landmarks.
