Job description

Parking Attendant (Transportation)

The Parking Attendant is responsible for protecting property and personnel by patrolling the facility and acting as access control for visitors, along with directing traffic. This role may also be referred to as Guard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greeting customers and assisting them with parking instructions
2. Directing vehicles to available parking spaces and ensuring orderly parking
3. Monitoring the parking facility for any unauthorized or suspicious activity
4. Enforcing parking regulations
5. Assisting customers with locating their vehicles and providing basic information about the marina
6. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning parking areas and ensuring proper signage
7. Keeping accurate records of parking transactions and reporting discrepancies to management
8. Maintaining a professional appearance, uniform, and manner at all times
9. Providing customer service by ensuring vehicles display proper permits
10. Availability to work overtime when required
11. Other duties as assigned by the Manager

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required training.
Wear proper personal protective equipment as required.
Report all accidents, injuries, spills, and near misses immediately.

Technical and Physical Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous security experience preferred.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit, and perform essential job functions for the duration of the shift.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
