Job summary

Yellowstone National Park, operated under the National Park Service within the U.S. Department of the Interior, seeks a Senior Executive Service leader to oversee operation, planning, and policy.

You will direct a large team, budget, and asset portfolio to ensure safety, conservation, and visitor experience. The role requires ECQs/TQs demonstration and QRB certification, with extensive coordination across offices and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• ECQs and TQs must be demonstrated within your two-page resume.
• Selectees must have QRB certification by OPM for SES appointment.
• Males must meet Selective Service Registration Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily park operations, planning, and policy implementation.
• Leads over 800 staff and oversees a $60 million budget and $4B in assets.
• Directs strategic planning and long-range goals for park operations.
• Maintains coordination with regional offices and external agencies.
• Manages contracts and environmental planning for large projects.
