The State of Alaska invites applications for a Park Superintendent in Juneau. This role leads Alaska State Parks operations across the Southeast Region, overseeing staff, maintenance, enforcement, and resource management to safeguard facilities and values in communities such as Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Haines.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Competencies in administration, staffing, planning, and resource management.
• Knowledge of park and recreation management principles.
• Ability to build partnerships across communities and agencies.
• Experience in planning, evaluating, and coordinating programs.

Responsabilités

• Manage operations of Alaska State Park units across the Southeast Region, including Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Haines.
• Supervise field staff, seasonal employees, and volunteers; direct maintenance, enforcement, and resource management.
• Oversee regional budgets, contracts, and revenue programs within funding limits.
• Coordinate with communities, partner agencies, and stakeholders on land management and park development.
