Job summary

Metroparks Toledo is seeking a Park Ranger to help maintain safety and protect natural resources across the park system. You will blend traditional law enforcement with community policing, engaging visitors daily and upholding the department's promise to keep parks clean, safe, and natural.

This role involves patrols by vehicle, bicycle, or on foot, responding to emergencies, and participating in outreach programs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to interact with park visitors in a positive manner.
• Knowledge of safety and security procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Metroparks to preserve peace and enforce the law.
• Direct and enforce traffic, parking, and applicable laws.
• Make arrests and prepare detailed reports.
• Engage with park visitors and provide information and assistance.
