Missouri State Parks is seeking commissioned law enforcement officers to patrol multiple state parks across Missouri. The role focuses on enforcing laws, protecting visitors and staff, and upholding park rules while conducting investigations and making arrests as required.

Applicants must obtain Missouri POST certification or have transferable certification, pass background and medical/psychological evaluations, and possess a valid MO driver’s license. Housing is not provided at these locations.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background investigation.
• Ability to pass a medical examination, a vision test with 20/40 corrected acuity, and a psychological evaluation.
• Possession of a valid Missouri vehicle operator's license appropriate for vehicle assignment.
• Must live within one hour of the assigned park location.

Responsabilités

• Enforce Missouri state laws and park rules by citations, warnings, or arrests.
• Patrol assigned state park areas and protect visitors, staff and property.
• Provide assistance to visitors and respond to incidents.
• Prepare reports and forms related to investigations and arrests.
• Conduct investigations, seize property or contraband as needed.
