Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers in Warsaw, MO seeks a Visitor Center Assistant to support the Interpretive Program, manage day-to-day operations, and assist visitors. You will coordinate school and civic programs, provide safety oversight, and help deliver recreation services such as land and water patrols while maintaining the required uniform and readiness standards.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience in recreation management or interpretive/natural resources management.
• Bachelor's degree with related coursework (24 hours) as listed in the education section.
• Combination of education and experience may qualify if at least 100% is met.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing the Interpretive Program at the Visitor Center.
• Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Visitor Center.
• Coordinate and conduct events for schools, civic, scout, senior and other groups.
• Provide visitor assistance and observe for public safety hazards.
• Provide recreation services including land and water patrols to enforce rules.
