Job summary

Travis County Clerk seeks an entry-level Park Operations Assistant for Bee Creek area, Spicewood, TX. You will provide park information to visitors, patrol park areas, handle gate receipts, and perform light maintenance. The role includes leading seasonal staff and assisting with opening/closing duties.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of parks experience with cash handling. Valid Texas driver's license preferred. bilingual in Spanish a plus; CPR/First Aid helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years parks experience including cash handling and customer service.
• Equivalency of education and experience that enables duties and responsibilities.
• Familiarity with Parks policies and procedures to train new employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information to visitors about parks and park rules.
• Patrol and monitor visitor activity and enforce park rules.
• Staff a fee booth, handle gate receipts, and reconcile cash through POS system.
• Lead and train seasonal Park Technician I and II subordinates.
• Open/close parks and assist in park projects as needed.
