Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking a parks maintenance worker for Haikey Creek Park to perform a range of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties. The role involves operating tractors, power tools, and equipment, with duties spanning carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and pesticide application as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of the eighth grade and over one year of experience performing maintenance/construction work.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety precautions in maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Perform semiskilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry and other tasks.
• Lay water services pipes, open clogged sewers.
• Operate tractors with mowing attachments and other light automotive equipment.
• Operate various types of power equipment and hand tools.
• Paint facilities.
• Repair fences.
• Plant, maintain, trim and remove ornamental plants, grasses, shrubs and trees.
• Spray pesticides and herbicides, water landscapes.
• Maintain equipment and tools.
• Build concrete forms, mix and finish concrete, and perform manual clean-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
