Lorain County Metropolitan Park District is seeking a maintenance and grounds worker to perform a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled labor tasks in maintaining and improving park resources and facilities. The role includes cleaning facilities, basic landscaping, setup for public events, and equipment operation in all weather conditions.

Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license; background check required. Equal opportunity employer. Pay is $11 to $12 per hour, up to 39 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Cleans buildings and park facilities to keep them sanitary and presentable.
• Performs routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, pruning, weeding, mulching and watering.

Responsabilités

• Cleans buildings, structures, and park facilities (restrooms, shelters, etc.).
• Mows, trims, weeds, mulches, waters, and fertilizes landscaped areas.
• Litter and trash pickup, and maintenance of storage areas.
• Sets up facilities for public functions (chairs, tables, A/V equipment).
• Operates vehicles and equipment (pickup trucks, tractors, mowers, Gators).
• Repairs building equipment as needed.
• Installs and maintains fencing and similar features.
• Light lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Staining and painting tasks as required.
• Assists with purchases of supplies as authorized.
• Communicates with staff and park visitors in writing and verbally.
• Participates in safety programs and adheres to policies.
