Job summary

Sequoyah State Park: Sequoyah Bay is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Technician to maintain park property, from lawn care to minor construction and repair.

Responsibilities include plumbing, building renovations, electrical and security work, and operation of equipment for grounds and facilities. The role requires outdoor work in varying weather and a valid driver's license for some locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have at least two (2) years' experience in one or more building trade or an equivalent of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform tasks that involve regular bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, sun, and wind
• Some locations will require a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Installs, replaces, alters, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, traps, faucets; repairs laundry equipment and other lines.
• Performs construction or renovation of buildings; erects scaffolds, sheds, forms, frames, fences and other structures; repairs doors, floors and windows.
• Maintains and repairs light fixtures, switches, motors and related electrical/heating/AC components.
• Installs and maintains locks; cuts keys and handles security devices.
• Constructs, maintains and repairs foundations and walkways; builds walls and fireplaces.
• Operates, maintains and repairs equipment used in construction and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
