Job summary

The State of Oklahoma is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Technician for Boiling Springs State Park. The role covers plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance across park facilities, with duties spanning installation, repairs, and equipment operation.

Starting pay is $15.00/hr with potential increase to $15.45/hr after a one-year trial. This full-time, regular position requires outdoor work in varying weather and may require a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Two or more years’ experience in one or more building trades or equivalent education/experience.
Ability to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Some locations may require a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Installs, replaces, alters, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures (sinks, traps, faucets) and related equipment.
Performs construction or renovation of buildings and related structures; erects scaffolds and maintains fixtures.
Maintains and repairs light fixtures, generators, motors, and HVAC components.
Installs and maintains locks and security devices; manages keys and related hardware.
Constructs and repairs foundations, retaining walls, walks, fireplaces, chimneys and similar projects.
Operates and maintains equipment used in construction and maintenance (trucks, tractors, mowers, etc.).
Other duties as assigned.
