Job summary

The State of Oklahoma is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Technician for Sequoyah State Park Lodge. This full-time, regular position involves hands-on plumbing, electrical, carpentry and equipment maintenance across park facilities and lodges.

Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, with duties including building renovations, lock/security work, and operating maintenance equipment in outdoor environments. Ideal candidates will have at least two years in building trades, ability to lift up to 50 lbs,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in one or more building trade or an equivalent of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform tasks that involve regular bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, sun, and wind.
• Some locations will require a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Installs, replaces, alters, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures; makes minor repairs to laundry equipment or other equipment.
• Performs construction or renovation of buildings or additions; erects scaffolds, sheds, forms, frames, fences; repairs doors, floors, windows, roofs.
• Maintains and repairs lighting, electrical components, generators and motors; basic electrical repairs; maintains HVAC components.
• Installs and maintains locks and security devices; service and replace tumblers; cuts keys.
• Constructs and repairs foundations; builds walls, walks, fireplaces, chimneys, stairs.
• Operates, maintains and repairs construction equipment such as trucks, mowers, and related machinery.
• Other duties as assigned.
