Job summary

Carowinds in Gastonia, NC is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair a wide range of heating and cooling systems across the park facilities. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing tune-ups, and ensuring safe, compliant operations while interacting with park staff and guests.

Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years of HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and state-specific licenses; refrigeration experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and state-specific HVAC licenses.
• 2–4 years of HVAC experience; refrigeration experience preferred.
• CFC recovery certification required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots HVAC systems, including chillers and air handling equipment.
• Keeps accurate records and logs of all work performed.
• Repairs and upgrades HVAC components and controls as needed.
• Ensures safe operation of work areas and complies with safety guidelines.
• Communicates findings and recommendations to supervisor and other teams.
