Job summary

Presidio Trust in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Park Guide Lead to support the Visitor Services Team. The role involves guiding park visitors, delivering programs, coordinating staff and volunteers, and ensuring safe, welcoming facilities at the Tunnel Tops sites.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, experience leading teams, and a willingness to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings for special programs and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of customer service or public-facing experience.
• Experience developing and curating public spaces and exhibits.
• Experience in a lead capacity within a team; strong trust-based relationships.
• Able to guide and provide constructive feedback to coworkers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient visitors to the Presidio Tunnel Tops and surrounding areas.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service; share local history.
• Coordinate daily staffing, training, and youth visits for field trips and camps.
• Open/close facilities, identify maintenance needs, and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Serve as Daily Site Leader and on-site point of contact for issues.
• Assist with exhibits, interpretive materials, and volunteer coordination.
