Job summary

Cameron County is hiring for a Park Keeper Part-Time to maintain park facilities and grounds. This role includes light maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning duties and reports to the Park Superintendent. The position requires outdoor work, physical activity, and weekend or evening shifts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, good people skills, and the ability to communicate in English and Spanish. A valid Texas driver’s license is preferred and references will be checked.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED recommended.
• Must enjoy outdoor work and have good verbal communication skills.
• English/Spanish bilingual ability desirable.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the park.
• Light landscaping duties including watering, raking, and trimming trees.
• Clean restrooms and park grounds, remove litter.
• Maintain athletic fields and playground equipment.
• Load and unload materials and equipment as needed.
• Weekend, holiday and evening work required.
