Job summary

The City of Amarillo is seeking a part-time grounds maintenance worker to perform duties on park property. You will operate grounds care equipment, assist with irrigation, planting, seeding, sodding, and maintenance of restrooms and facilities.

Must be able to perform manual labor daily, work outdoors, and lift objects. A Texas driver’s license is preferred but not required. This position may require occasional weekend work and offers a starting pay of $14.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assists with turf maintenance and park facility upkeep.
• Operates grounds maintenance equipment and small tools.
• Cleans park restrooms, courts, and common areas.
• Assists with planting, irrigation, sod and minor repairs.
• Supports with construction-related tasks as needed.
• Keeps cost sheets and task logs when required.
