Job summary

The City of Houston’s Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) is seeking a Park Maintenance Aide to join the Greenspace Maintenance team. This role supports safe, well‑maintained parks and affordable programming for the community, performing basic cleaning, debris removal, and rest area upkeep.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with City of Houston driving policy (A.P. 2-2).
• No previous experience required.
• Shifts may include day, evening, night, weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic cleaning of park facilities and monitors restroom supplies.
• Reports problems or hazards to the designated authority.
• Maintains park grounds by picking up litter and debris.
• Performs additional assignments as required.
