Job summary

The City of Muskogee is seeking a Parks Maintenance Leader I to act as a working lead on a team performing a range of maintenance tasks for city properties and facilities. You will oversee activities such as park upkeep, equipment operation, and basic repairs, working in varied weather conditions.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of maintenance experience, including some leadership or crew supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience as a trades helper or maintenance laborer in construction/maintenance trades.
• Experience leading and coordinating or supervising a crew is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and operates hand tools, power tools, light trucks, tractors, and small equipment.
• Maintains park areas; cleans restrooms and office/break areas, picks up debris.
• Repairs and maintains city parks, fences, playgrounds, sports fields, irrigation, and related facilities.
• Performs lead work and directs a group in horticulture and maintenance tasks.
