Job summary

Charlotte County is seeking a Maintenance Worker to keep parks, buildings and community spaces clean, safe, and ready for residents. You’ll handle facility cleaning, event setups, basic repairs, painting, grounds upkeep and general maintenance, using gear like pressure washers and floor-cleaners.

Work is performed independently in assigned areas; a valid driver’s license is required and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a related field.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Tackle facility cleaning, event setups, basic repairs, painting, grounds upkeep and general maintenance.
• Operate tools and equipment such as pressure washers, floor-cleaning machines, chainsaws, County vehicles and ATVs.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns and maintain basic records.
• Provide professional customer service and work independently in assigned areas.
• Support varying schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
