Job summary

San Joaquin County Parks is seeking a skilled professional to manage park development, including plan preparation and review, budgeting and cost projection, contracting, construction, and inspections. You will review proposals, advise on vendors, and authorize expenditures while assisting with Division budgets and grants.

This position requires two years of landscape architecture/ planning experience, a four-year degree in a related field, and a California Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in landscape architecture, landscape planning/design with project management responsibilities.
• Experience in plan development/review, cost projection, and contract oversight within a large organization.
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with related major.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and participates in park development activities; prepares plan documents and CAD drawings; reviews proposals and vendors; oversees construction within authority.
• Develops budgets, cost estimates, and grant applications; assists with division budget and funding requests.
• Reviews subdivision applications for compliance and may lead special studies or events as assigned.
• Acts as liaison between the County and contractors; may supervise staff and coordinate with other departments.
