Job summary

Town of Gilbert is seeking a Custodian I to perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and support for park spaces, athletic fields, and facilities. The role requires operating equipment and ensuring safe, clean environments for citizens.

Two positions exist: a 30-hour fully benefited role and a 30-hour, benefited, limited-term role through June 30, 2027, with potential to extend. Afternoon, evening, and weekend hours are required, with some holidays and occasional flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of custodial experience or training.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of equipment, park spaces, athletic fields, and related areas.
• Operates equipment and tools for maintenance and support of assigned areas and events.
• Sets up, monitors, and inspects facilities and identifies repairs; performs basic maintenance.
• Monitors inventory and stocks supplies as needed.
