Job summary

Memorial Park Conservancy is seeking a Caretaking & Cleaning Coordinator to lead daily maintenance and cleaning programs across Memorial Park. You will prioritize tasks, respond to site needs, and guide technicians, seasonal staff, and volunteers to meet established cleanliness standards.

The role reports to the Caretaking & Cleaning Supervisor and requires on-site work with a schedule that may include early shifts, weekends, and seasonal adjustments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in park operations or custodial operations; leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of custodial operations and park cleanliness standards.
• Experience operating tools and park vehicles safely.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital work order/asset management systems.
• Valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Implement caretaking and cleaning maintenance practices including restroom and facility cleaning, waste and recycling collection, litter removal, trail and pathway upkeep, and maintenance of park amenities.
• Inspect park facilities, restrooms, trails, and public-use areas to ensure safe, clean, and functional park environments.
• Evaluate site conditions and prioritize maintenance activities to support park cleanliness and visitor experience standards.
• Coordinate completion of routine cleaning schedules, inspections, and minor maintenance activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation of operational activities, inspections, and work orders using established tracking systems.
• Assist with monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and operational materials and communicate replenishment needs.
