Job summary
St Anthony of Padua Parish in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Director of Music to lead liturgy music, recruit and train cantors and choir members, and coordinate with the Pastor for worship planning. Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in music or music education and be proficient in liturgical music.
- Experience in planning and directing liturgy and music for Catholic services is preferred.
- Ability to train cantors and choir members and to manage a parish music program.
Responsibilities
- Lead all parish liturgical music for worship and sacraments.
- Recruit, train, and rehearse cantors, choir, and instrumentalists.
- Ensure music selections align with liturgical rubrics and copyright rules.
- Plan music for Sundays, feasts, seasons, and special liturgical events.
- Collaborate with Pastor and parish committees on music ministry.
