Job summary

St John The Evangelist in Philadelphia seeks a part-time Safe Environment Coordinator to manage clearances, records, and compliance in parish operations. You will coordinate with staff and volunteers to ensure proper documentation and renewals, and you will handle audits within Archdiocesan guidelines.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and parish databases. Flexible hours (about 12 hours per week) with workspace provided by the parish.

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and fulfill tasks in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Ensures storage, recording and solicitation of all required Safe Environment clearances and records.
• Maintains Archdiocesan database with Safe Environment records.
• Informs administrators when renewals are approaching or not in compliance.
• Conducts yearly state and USCCB audits and bi-yearly Archdiocese Audits.
• Keeps aware of Archdiocesan directives and represents the parish at Safe Environment meetings.
