The Catholic Diocese of Gary invites applications for a Parish Financial Liaison in its Finance Office. The role serves as the diocesan liaison to parishes, schools and other institutions, providing accounting guidance and financial reporting support, and coordinating audits.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, with experience in Catholic Church accounting at parish or school level. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now for payroll

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Experience with parish/school church accounting preferred.
• Strong communication and writing skills; able to travel locally.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; payroll reporting experience.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate financial audits for Parishes and Schools.
• Review internal controls and financial records.
• Provide accounting guidance and reporting to parishes and schools.
• Assess technology components for financial weaknesses and strengths.
