Job summary

Church of the Resurrection in Lansing, MI, seeks a full-time Finance Administrator to oversee the parish and school business office. The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 2+ years of management experience, and strong Excel/Word/Outlook skills.

You will manage budgeting, payroll, banking, and accounting reports, ensuring compliance with diocesan requirements and parish policy. On-site work is Monday through Friday with occasional weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Experience: 2+ years as administrator or manager of an office.
• Fluent knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting software; understanding of Catholic parish organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a yearly budget with input from pastor and finance council.
• Manage banking, payables/receivables, timely payments and deposits.
• Prepare payroll and monthly/diary reports for parish and diocese.
• Oversee HR-related policies and supervise accounting staff/volunteers.
