Job summary

The Diocese of Providence is seeking a Missionary Discipleship Consultant to assist parishes in evangelization and faith formation, collaborating with the Director of Faith Formation and parish leaders to provide training and resources. The role strengthens parishes as centers of missionary discipleship.

Responsibilities include training parish leaders, developing workshops on evangelization and faith formation, coordinating campus outreach, and supporting leadership certificate programs.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic in good standing and committed to the Church’s mission.
• Bachelor’s degree in theology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of ministry experience in parish, diocesan, school, or apostolate settings.
• Knowledge of Catholic teaching, evangelization, and discipleship.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support parish catechetical leaders through training, resources, and ongoing communication.
• Develop and facilitate workshops on evangelization, discipleship, and faith formation.
• Coordinate college campus evangelization outreach.
• Support theology and leadership certificate programs.
• Onboard and form parish catechetical leaders; coordinate Safe Environment training.
