Job summary

Providence Church seeks a Pastor of Disciple-Making who is spiritually mature, theologically grounded, and a strategic leader. This full-time, exempt role builds systems and culture to multiply disciples, leaders, and churches within a church of 3,000+ in attendance.

The role reports to the Executive Pastor and coordinates cross-ministry disciple-making efforts, guiding pastors and volunteers toward a shared mission and calendar-driven initiatives across adult ministries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of meaningful discipleship ministry experience.
• Spiritual maturity and integrity.
• Theological depth and ability to teach Scripture.
• Ability to develop leaders and multiply leaders.
• Strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
• Experience in a large church context (1,500+ in attendance).

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate a comprehensive disciple-making strategy for adults 18+.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the College, Young Adult, Adult, Men, Women, Hospitality, and Care ministries.
• Lead staff meetings and ensure alignment with Providence's mission and priorities.
• Cultivate a culture of multiplication—disciples make disciples, leaders develop leaders, groups multiply, churches plant churches.
• Plan and oversee Bible reading plans, devotionals, and Life Group guides that reinforce sermons.
• Develop and submit annual objectives and calendars for the Disciple-Making Team and coordinate ministry events with the church calendar.
• Oversee annual budgets for each disciple-making ministry area and monitor implementation.
