Job summary

Archdiocese of Omaha is seeking a Maintenance role for Mary Our Queen Church in Omaha, NE. The position supports campus upkeep, safety, and preventive maintenance across parish facilities.

Responsibilities include indoor/outdoor appearance, safe walkways, and assisting with snow removal, with a focus on reliable teamwork and adherence to safety protocols. This on-site role reports to the Director of Facilities.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Safe Environment Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Self-starter and strong team member.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic chemicals and appropriate safety precautions related to them.
• Possess basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical services.
• Ability to life over fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis.
• Serve as a dedicated team member.
• Demonstrate safe body mechanics in completing assignments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain desired appearance inside and outside the parish buildings, including morning assessments of service areas and room temperatures.
• Maintain safe parking lots, sidewalks and doorways.
• Comply with approved preventive maintenance protocols.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as assigned.
• Perform general maintenance duties including painting, patching, minor plumbing.
• Report safety concerns to the Director of Facilities.
• Support both Mary Our Queen and St. John Vianney parishes as needed.
