Job summary

Queen of Apostles Parish in Chicago, IL seeks a part-time Facilities and Maintenance Manager to ensure optimum operation of the parish buildings and grounds in support of the Pastor’s mission. You will work with the Operations Director and parish leaders on stewardship of physical resources and serve as project manager for facilities, grounds and event setup.

The role requires a technical background with an Associate degree or certification, at least 5 years of related experience, and skills in

Qualifications

• Certification or associate degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience in building maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and communicate with others in writing.
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for facilities and grounds management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building maintenance and custodial personnel; perform evaluations.
• Manage security and safety of parish grounds; coordinate with police when needed.
