Job summary

Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking an Evangelization Coordinator for Our Lady of Ransom Parish in Niles, IL. This role supports the pastor, develops evangelization initiatives, and may supervise ministry staff to enhance parish vitality.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic aligned with Catholic teaching, mission and values.
• Ability to engage parishioners and non-parishioners in evangelization and community building.
• Ability to direct the work of staff and volunteers to drive initiatives.
• Demonstrates mature discipleship and ability to witness faith.
• Developed leadership and management skills; strong collaboration.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Capable of communicating and presenting with technology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Pastor on discernment and implementation of the vision for parish formation and vitality.
• Assist the Pastor with implementing the strategic plan for parish mission and ensuring ministries align with it.
• Direct recruitment, training and assessment of staff and volunteers leading parish ministries.
• Build and support teams for formation experiences (e.g. Rescue Project, Chosen series, Bible or Catechism series).
• Direct special projects or ministries as requested by the Pastor.
• Spread the gospel through communications via social media, parish bulletins, and other avenues.
• Train and schedule greeters for Sunday Mass as first contact to welcome parishioners and seekers.
• Communicate and present with technology.
