Job summary

Qualifications

Practicing Catholic in good standing (implicit from parish ministry role).
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience managing social media accounts for an organization.
Experience producing and editing video and audio content.
Understanding of media strategy and audience growth.
Strong writing and editing skills with a commitment to quality.
Knowledge of Catholic teaching, parish life, and liturgical year.
Proficiency with social platforms, email marketing, CMS, and video/audio editing tools.

Responsibilities

Coordinate messaging across parish channels to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Plan, create, and schedule content for parish social media accounts and respond to engagement.
Plan, capture, edit, and publish video and photo content; maintain a media library.
Produce and publish podcasts; handle recording, editing, and distribution.
Modernize communications by evaluating tools and advising leadership on strategy.
Maintain a content calendar aligned with liturgical year and school calendar.
