Job summary

Biogen in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Scientist II to advance parenteral formulation and drug product development programs. The role emphasizes design and execution of studies for preclinical and clinical programs, with exposure to manufacturing campaigns, tech transfer, and regulatory-ready documentation.

The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. or MS with extensive experience in pharmaceutical development, strong analytical skills, and ability to collaborate across functions in a fast-paced matrix

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with relevant experience in pharmaceutical development, especially sterile parenteral drugs.
• Hands-on experience with formulation, process development, and tech transfer.
• Familiarity with regulatory submissions (IND/IMPD/NDA) is preferred.
• Ability to design, execute and analyze formulation studies in a matrix environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation and process development studies for preclinical and clinical programs.
• Support sterile parenteral products including optimization and tech transfer.
• Provide technical support during GMP campaigns, engineering runs, and PPQ activities.
• Coordinate studies on product and process characterization and manufacturing robustness.
• Collaborate across drug substance, analytical, device engineering, quality and regulatory teams.
