Job summary

Biogen in Cambridge, MA seeks a Scientist I/II to drive parenteral drug product development, with emphasis on sterile formulation, manufacturing process development, and technology transfer. The role collaborates across drug substance, analytical development, device engineering, manufacturing sciences, and quality to advance Biogen's pipeline.

The successful candidate will design experiments, interpret data, and contribute to regulatory-ready CMC documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in parenteral drug product development, sterile drug products, and related CMC activities.
• Exposure to regulatory submissions such as IND/IMPD/NDA is preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing operations including aseptic filling, lyophilization, and container closure systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation and process development studies for parenteral drug products across preclinical and clinical programs.
• Contribute to sterile product development, formulation optimization, and technology transfer.
• Provide technical support during GMP manufacturing campaigns, engineering runs, and PPQ activities.
• Execute studies on formulation and process optimization, product characterization, and manufacturing robustness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program objectives and regulatory submissions.
• Support development and evaluation of primary container closure systems (vials, prefilled syringes) and single-use systems.
