Shiabewell seeks a dedicated Parent Support Partner in Owosso, MI to assist families affected by emotional disturbances or developmental challenges. The role centers on empowering families, coordinating with providers and offering resources and advocacy through community engagement.

Qualified candidates are parents or primary caregivers with a high school diploma, and are willing to complete required certifications and training modules, including MDHHS-approved content.

Formación

• Must be a parent or primary day-to-day caregiver of a child with a mental health need or developmental disability.
• Experience with other child-serving organizations is preferred.
• Willingness to complete the required parent support partner certification and training.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with families to support, educate and empower them to use their voice.
• Develop skills to navigate service systems and connect families with resources.
• Engage with service providers through home visits, team meetings and collaboration with supervisors.
