Qualifications

• A previously personal opened CPS or foster care case with successful case closure.
• A stable family situation without current Children’s Protective Services (CPS) substantiation for safety issues.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Coaches parents on what to expect throughout the child welfare process.
• Helps maintain connections between parents and children by advocating for family rights.
• Provides permanency, outreach, and advocacy by connecting parents to community resources.
• Attends Family Team Meetings, court hearings, and treatment appointments with families.
