Job summary

Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health is seeking multiple Certified Peer Support Specialist/Trainee - Parent Partners to support a range of programs across Riverside County. The role centers on guiding parents and primary caregivers of children or youth in behavioral health recovery, using lived experience to inspire hope and resilience within families and assist navigating services.

Positions may be Trainee or Certified Peer Support Specialist with varied scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child/youth receiving behavioral health services.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Certification must be obtained within two years of start date.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families and caregivers and advocate within the system.

Responsibilities

• Provide self-disclosure of lived experience to families served in the system of care.
• Inform, train, support and empower families and caregivers of children and youth with behavioral health services.
• Communicate and promote the caregiver perspective within the behavioral health system.
• Facilitate self-help groups for youth, family members, and caregivers.
• Document activities following Medi-Cal billing practices.
