Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Parent Resource Center operations and greet parents.
  • Develop and maintain a Parent Library and provide training for parents.
  • Assist parents with understanding Title I Part A, NCLB, AYP, report cards, and school improvement.
  • Provide orientation for new parents and create opportunities for parent involvement.
  • Coordinate academic-based learning opportunities/workshops for parents at flexible times.
  • Organize and train volunteers; recruit and retain volunteers.
  • Advertise Title I Parent Involvement activities through various media.
  • Communicate with parents via newsletters, Parent Center updates, and the website.
  • Serve as liaison between the school and Title I Office Parent Involvement and SES.
  • Respond to parent inquiries (calls, emails, letters) and assist with progress reports.
  • Participate in early release conferences and explain progress reports and report cards.
  • Calculate and maintain data on parental involvement and complete Title I documentation on time.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring Parent Involvement Budget and Title I records.
  • Collaborate with staff to coordinate meetings/workshops for parents.
  • Conduct surveys and program evaluations of parent activities and Title I programs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Parental Involvement Policy and school compact.
  • Serve as liaison between school and community to access resources.
  • Develop partnerships with social agencies and engage PTA and Parent Involvement Committee.
  • Attend meetings and professional learning as directed by Title I Office.
