Qualifications

• Basic technology skills to facilitate communications, tracking, and reporting (Google Suite).
• Community Cafe Facilitator certification preferred: training may be provided.
• Work independently and collaboratively.
• Awareness of early childhood development/educational needs.
• Represent the program in a professional, respectful, and culturally responsive manner.
• Deep cultural confidence and ability to engage respectfully with families from diverse linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Participate in required OEC trainings and convenings including but not limited to:
• Onboarding trainings;
• Quarterly statewide Community of Practice with Parent Ambassadors from around the state and the OEC Parent Cabinet members;
• In-person parent leadership opportunities.
• Conduct outreach to parents and caregivers to connect families with young children to early childhood services.
• Share information about early childhood programs, supports, and community resources
• Attend WECC meetings (6 x per year) with community partners, service providers, and local organizations
• Develop, plan, organize, and promote activities to engage the community
• Provide updates and receive directions from the Program Coordinator
• Collect and report records of outreach efforts, attendance, and participant feedback in required Google Sheets
• Other related duties as assigned
