Job summary

GoBolt in The Bronx is hiring Parcel and Grocery Delivery Drivers who will deliver packages with safety and courtesy, using our driver app for navigation, scanning and proof of delivery. You must have a valid NY driver's license, own vehicle, and be 21+.

The role offers $22.00 per hour plus IRS mileage reimbursement, flexible 8–12 hour blocks across 7 days, benefits after 30 days, and a customer-centric, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid New York driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
• Access to a smartphone with data plan to run the GoBolt delivery app.
• Able to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
• Fluency in English (reading, speaking, writing).

Responsibilities

• Pick up assigned packages at the delivery station and load into your vehicle.
• Deliver packages along an assigned route using the driver app for navigation and proof of delivery.
• Scan each package and obtain required proof of delivery.
• Follow delivery instructions and use secure drop-off locations and access codes.
• Navigate NYC traffic and buildings safely and efficiently.
• Complete all deliveries within the scheduled block and return undeliverable packages the same day.

We are looking for Parcel and Grocery Delivery Driversin The Bronx who will demonstrate enthusiasm while delivering positive, professional and courteous customer service to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction!

• Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour plus Mileage reimbursement for business use of your personal vehicle, paid at the IRS standard mileage rate under GoBolt’s accountable reimbursement plan. These reimbursements are not taxable wages.
• Hours/Schedule: Flexible delivery blocks of 8 to 12 hours, available 7 days a week, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Benefits: Eligible to enroll in our health & dental benefit program for you and your family after 30 days of employment.
• Location: Delivery routes starting from our Bronx delivery station.
• Vehicle: Your own personal vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up assigned packages at the delivery station at the start of each block and load them safely into your vehicle
• Deliver packages along an assigned route using the company's driver app for navigation, scanning and proof of delivery
• Scan every package at pickup and delivery, and capture a photo, signature or other proof of delivery as required
• Follow customer delivery instructions, including secure drop-off locations, building access codes, doormen, lobby lockers and mailrooms
• Navigate NYC traffic, parking restrictions, apartment buildings, walk-ups and elevator buildings safely and efficiently
• Complete all deliveries within the scheduled block and return any undeliverable packages to the station the same day
• Carry packages up and down stairs and over distances on foot between your vehicle and the delivery address
• Operate your vehicle safely and follow all traffic laws, parking regulations and company safety policies
• Keep your vehicle clean, in good working condition and suitable for carrying packages
• Provide exceptional customer service during every customer interaction
• Respond to customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner and elevate issues to dispatch or support when needed
• Report delivery exceptions, damaged packages, safety incidents or access issues promptly through the app

What We Are Looking For

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid U.S. driver's license (New York State Class D or equivalent) with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• Access to a smartphone (iOS or Android) with your own data plan to be able to run the GoBolt delivery app
• Comfortable continuously lifting and carrying packages up to 50lbs
• Able to walk, bend, climb stairs and be on your feet for the length of a delivery block
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Familiarity with NYC streets, neighborhoods and building types is a strong asset
• Previous parcel, courier or last-mile delivery experience is an asset but not required
• Basic understanding of technology and proficient on a smartphone or tablet
• Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English
• Punctual and reliable, able to show up on time for every scheduled block
• Great attention to detail, able to make sure the right package reaches the right address
• Highly customer focused, with a passion for exceeding expectations
• Excellent communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor, even under pressure

Vehicle Requirements

• A reliable, registered and insured vehicle: a 4-door sedan, SUV, minivan, hatchback or cargo van (no 2-door vehicles, motorcycles or scooters)
• Proof of valid auto insurance that meets New York State requirements, in your name or with you listed as a driver
• Current vehicle registration and inspection
• Enough cargo space to carry a full route of packages safely
