Southeast Senior Services in Haines is seeking a Driver to operate the paratransit van for the Haines Senior Center. You will transport seniors and persons with disabilities, assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, and provide door-to-door support.

You may also deliver meals to homebound clients, maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness, and record rides and mileage. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with a starting wage of $17/hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Alaska driver's license and a clean driving record for past 18 months with no DUI or reckless driving for past three years.
• Experience with seniors and/or persons with disabilities is preferred.
• Experience with routine vehicle maintenance is desirable.
• Background check required.

Responsabilités

• Drive the paratransit van for the Haines Senior Center.
• Transport seniors and persons with disabilities; assist passengers in and out of the vehicle.
• Provide door-to-door assistance and deliver meals to homebound seniors.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Record rides, mileage, and transportation records; perform other duties as assigned.
