Job summary

ARC-IV is hiring a Driver in California to transport passengers per route and schedule, within ADA guidelines, maintaining safety and professional standards.

The role requires a Class B license with Passenger endorsement, a clean DMV record, and the ability to perform essential physical duties. Training for CPR/First Aid is expected within 90 days of hire, with emphasis on safety and courteous service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a California Commercial Class B license with Passenger endorsement.
• Clean DMV record; provide a 10 year DMV printout prior to hire.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions; communicate in English.
• CPR and first aid training prior to operating vehicle or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers according to designated route and schedule.
• Maintain satisfactory performance in safety, vehicle operation, and adherence to policies and routes.
• Ensure vehicles are clean inside and out before service; wash as needed.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle records (pre/post trips, driver’s log, route manifest).
• Ensure wheelchair lift operates correctly and safety procedures are followed.
