First Student is seeking full-time Paratransit (Access-a-Ride) drivers in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves safely transporting riders, assisting with mobility aids, and ensuring door-to-door service under NYC Access-A-Ride.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years
• No more than 4 points on the license
• Willing to obtain or hold NYS Driver's License
• Wear or obtain DOT-required credentials as needed

Responsibilities

• Safely transport community members to appointments and errands
• Assist boarding/unloading and mobility aids
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report mechanical issues promptly
• Obey traffic laws and safety standards
• Communicate with passengers, staff and dispatch
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service
