First Student in Bronx, NY is hiring full-time Paratransit drivers for Access-a-Ride. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, training wages, and competitive benefits. You will transport community members safely, assist with boarding, and adhere to DOT safety standards while working a regular 40-hour week.

No prior experience is required; comprehensive training is provided. English proficiency is required for regulatory compliance and daily communications with passengers and dispatch.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Hold or obtain a New York State Driver's License.
• Have no more than 4 points on your license.
• This full-time role requires availability for a regular schedule.
• Role is subject to DOT drug testing.

Responsabilidades

• Safely transport passengers to appointments, errands, and various destinations.
• Assist passengers boarding and alighting, including mobility aids.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with passengers, staff, and dispatch about delays or behavioral concerns.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service excellence.
