Cash Management Specialist

First Student is currently hiring a Cash Management Specialist to support our daily treasury and cash management activities.

This position is a strong opportunity for someone with banking, finance, accounting, treasury, or cash management experience who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with financial systems and transactions.

Pay

$17.00 per hour

About the Position

The Cash Management Specialist supports the day-to-day management of company cash activity and helps ensure funds are available where and when they are needed.

This role assists with cash positioning and forecasting, reviews financial transactions, processes fund movements, maintains banking and treasury systems, and helps resolve cash-related questions and issues.

You will work with internal teams and banking partners while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily cash management and cash positioning activities
  • Review cash management transactions for accuracy
  • Determine daily cash availability and assist with liquidity management
  • Execute wire transfers and other authorized fund movements
  • Assist with cash forecasting by providing prior-period actuals and current-day projections
  • Research and help resolve cash management questions, discrepancies, and transaction issues
  • Maintain company bank account structures and banking services
  • Serve as an administrator and resource for bank-provided software and online banking systems
  • Maintain treasury spreadsheets, systems, files, and other cash management tools
  • Support bank-related projects and treasury system implementations
  • Provide guidance and training to employees using banking and treasury systems
  • Process foreign currency exchanges as required
  • Review and analyze bank fees periodically
  • Process miscellaneous deposits for corporate bank accounts
  • Obtain certified checks when required
  • Maintain accurate and organized treasury documentation
  • Perform additional treasury and cash management duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in banking, treasury, cash management, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • General knowledge of cash management products and services
  • Understanding of common U.S. banking processes and payment methods
  • Experience with online banking systems, treasury workstations, or similar financial software is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, financial systems, and electronic banking tools
  • Ability to handle financial information responsibly and professionally
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position is performed primarily in an office environment.

Employees must be able to:

  • Move throughout the office and between floors as needed
  • Use standard office equipment and computer systems
  • Access filing systems and cabinets
  • Communicate effectively in person, electronically, and by telephone
  • Perform computer-based and administrative work for extended periods
