Job summary

RATP Dev USA – Lextran Wheels in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking Paratransit Bus Drivers to provide safe passenger transportation and excellent service in the Lexington area. This role emphasizes operating paratransit buses, assisting passengers, and maintaining schedules.

Walk-in Wednesdays from 9AM to 2PM. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, record-keeping, and effective communication with dispatchers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and a professional attitude.
• Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility needs.
• Ability to follow schedules, routes, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to remain professional and calm when working with passengers.
• CDL experience is a plus but not required if the candidate can meet applicable company and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a paratransit bus and provide passenger transportation throughout the Lexington area.
• Transport passengers safely and on schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus when needed.
• Secure wheelchairs, mobility devices, and other passenger equipment.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and transportation procedures.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report vehicle maintenance, safety, or passenger concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain accurate trip and passenger records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, passengers, and other team members.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional bus environment.
