Job summary

RATP Dev USA is seeking a Paratransit Driver to provide reliable, courteous, and safe transportation services. You will operate various buses, assist passengers including those with disabilities, and ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have NC CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.
• CDL required by state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass DOT Physical exam.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Acts as front-line point of contact to ensure delivery of quality customer service.
• Safely operates buses through city and freeway traffic.
• Transport passengers safely and courteously according to routes and stops as prescribed.
• Complies with all federal, state, and local laws about operation of buses, traffic, and safety.
• Assist customers, including individuals with disabilities, on/off wheelchair lift and with safety restraints as requested.
• Promote safety awareness and follow procedures to reduce accidents.
• Operate equipment safely (farebox, lift, radio, emergency equipment, hatches).
• Perform pre-trip inspection and DVIR per FMCSR to ensure safe vehicle condition.
• Coordinate detour/accident information to radio dispatch and follow instructions.
