Qualifications

• High school diploma required and one of the following: Associates degree or higher OR Two years of college (48 credit hours) OR ParaPro Assessment with a score of 460 OR Child Development Associate credential OR willingness to complete 10 modules in the online Paraeducator training platform within 2 months of employment at PTS.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individual and small groups of students as directed by the teacher.
• Facilitate student tasks in activity centers.
• Read to children and listen to children read.
• Assist in preparing AV, media and technology for instructional use.
• Help supervise children in and out of the classroom.
• Assist the classroom teacher with clerical tasks.
• Respect student confidentiality at all times.
• Supervise students indoors and outdoors for playground/cafeteria.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the principal.
