Holyoke Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional for the SHARED SY26-27 role in Holyoke, MA. The position supports students with learning activities, classroom routines, and daily care; prior experience with special needs and diverse populations is preferred.

The role requires teamwork, communication, and flexibility within a bustling school environment. Associate’s degree or equivalent, or completion of two years of college, or a parity assessment is required.

Formación

• Experience working with Special Needs students preferred.
• Experience in urban education settings preferred.
• Experience with diverse student populations preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; teamwork.
• Bilingual applicants (Spanish) strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Operates and cares for classroom equipment used for instruction.
• Helps students master equipment and instructional materials.
• Assists in implementing behavioral modification programs under supervision.
• Assists with supervision during drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips.
• Assists students with mobility and personal care.
• Assists with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines.
• Helps students dress for physical education activities.
• Meets buses and assists with breakfast and lunch routines.
• Assists with wash-ups, toilet routines, diapering and tooth brushing.
